As the game kicked off, Plan A put Scorps under pressure early, with the Phoons forwards showing their willingness to meet the large Scorps pack up front which would continue for the rest of the game. However a Scorps scrum just outside Plan A's 22 would see the opposition 12 slice through the Plan A line and offload for the first score of the game. 7 - 0 Scorps. Plan A would come straight back, indiscipline from Scorps would see a lineout 5 meters out from their line. Throw was straight and Bob would power over from the resulting maul to leave the scores 7 - 5.

A tough game ensued with both teams looking for an advantage in a even forwards battle. However Scorps would go wide from some good pahse play and dot down for their second score of the game. 12 - 5 Scorps. From the kickoff, Bob showed his volleyball prowess to palm the ball backwards for Plan A to regather. From the resulting ruck Siu Kui fed Chris who shrugged off two weak tackles and glide over the line. 12 - 12. Scorps would end the half again finding space on the outside of the Phoons defensive line, halftime score 19 - 0.

The second half would descend into an arm wrestle between the two packs with no one coming out on top. Scorps however after constant pressure on the Plan A line, would find space again out wide for their winger to evade 3 tackles and score their 4th try. Plan A struggle to get back into the game and another goal line defense would come up short as Scorps scored from the ruck to end the contest. Plan A would take a consulation try as Paul was taken out late in the game leading to a penalty try but was too late to turn the game.

Plenty of positives to take for Plan A going into the business end of the season.
