Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirate’s victory.

A great afternoon for the Pirates, a sad week end for the Typhoons. Off Prince Edward’s coast, the afternoon of 7 November Anno Domini 2009 was contemplating what supposed to be the encounter between Jack Sparrow Disney Corporation and the Gods of the wind.

But undisciplined and rounders like Greek’s Gods, we finally turn out to be a reasonable number of 20ish few hundreth before kickoff.

Under a good sunshine in an atmosphere releasing some flavor of whiskey of the night before, the game started not badly and the still drunk hurricanes PA and Jay did couple of good runs breaking the lines. The first half saw Typhoons penetrating Pirates’ sails but without tearing them up. Constant even failed on putting the ball on their try line. “No” said the admiral ref’.

Likewise the win, we were good at sidling but experienced some difficulties in a man to man fight. We saved only two of our hundreds scrums and line-outs and ran rapidly out of munitions. Conservation and conquest of the Holy Grail will have to be our focus in the next games ahead.

In the second half Pirates turned Corsaires au service de sa Majeste. Both armies came close to each other try line several times but without reaching to give the kiss of the death at anytime. Jay even made a splendid touchdown but unfortunately some Pirates’ bones squeezed in between its hands, the ball and the grass. Pirates’ gunner scored two penalties in the last ten minutes and the French Navy vanquished the Typhoons’ armada (it does no harm just this once). Outnumbered, we were defeated by a smaller and younger army. Miss only they wore kilts and it would have a flavor of Falkirk.

It was an unexpected tough game but all the team has shown great defense skills. Welcome also to the newbies Fred, Kelvin and Robbie who did a great job.

The next game will be crucial. We need you.
